Exactly sixty years ago Luciano Berio confronted himself with the solo harp, writing a masterpiece of literature for this instrument with brave, almost irreverent skill, irony and above all great compositional genius, reversing its fortunes, since the harp after Sequenza II has no longer remained the same. The sound planes of Sequenza II are multiple and are manifested through timbres and sounds that alternate and respond with such a speed as to make them almost imperceptible, albeit with a total structure and force, capable of creating a dramatic and overwhelming narration that goes beyond the physicality and "reality" of the instrument itself.
